A fresh apple shortage has recently hit Club Penguin Island just after the Island’s sole merchant reported an epidemic of rotten apples. This strange occurrence appears to be connected to new Disney Shop item arrivals. “It was about a week ago when my apples started to go rotten to the core”, the apple merchant – who goes by the name of Apple Stores – told us, “I usually harvest apples from the waterfall on Mount Blizzard, that’s where apples from my mountain-top orchard flow to”.
Apple Stores reports that his apples collected at the source are crisp and fresh. They’re said to be the finest quality on the Island thanks to the cool mountain air and snow nutrients. How an apple tree grows in snow is another question. We followed Apple Stores’ journey down from the mountain to determine at which point such fresh penguin produce turns rancid. Following loading the apples into a wheelbarrow, carefully dodging incoming sled racers, Apple Stores heads to the Boardwalk. Our cameras captured the next part of the journey.
Ruined rotten apples at the Welcome Market! ??
As soon as Apple Stores arrives at the Welcome Market to sell his apples, he discovers his wheelbarrow is filled with apples rotten-to-the-core and black inky squids – yuck! He attempts to sell them, to little avail. Few people find inky squid sticks and rotten apples appetising. “I see a sudden flash of lightning and then suddenly, my apples are rotten”, Apple Stores tells us, clearly distressed by what has happened. He empties his wheelbarrow at the Picnic Hill, shocked by its new contents.
Thankfully, Captain Rockhopper was said to be in need of some inky squids and fish ready for flight for a new mini-game set. Apple Stores was quick to load the Migrator with his squids and catches of the day – at last someone was in need for what he brought to market today. Rockhopper required the squid and fish on his ship to take to another island to manufacture the mini-game sets, apparently outsourcing even happens on Club Penguin Island.

Apple Stores has finally found a buyer for his rotten stuff. However, he’s yet to figure out what was the cause of the tragedy. Heading back with a wheelbarrow of rotten apples, a potential suspect emerges at the Disney Shop. It seems like the apple industry on Club Penguin Island is going through some tough times. Maybe one day someone will find a use for rotten apples… rotten apple juice, anybody? No? Okay…
Next week, the Disney Shop will be receiving new “Descendants 2” themed stock. Penguins can be rotten-to-the-core and dress up as their favourite characters. You can join the community in celebrating the Disney Channel Original Movie’s release and download Club Penguin Island now.
Thank you to my friend Dami6 for inspiring the name “Apple Stores”!
