Hey penguin pals! Can you believe it?! The Rainbow Celebration is almost over! After over a month of partying, smoothie sipping and geyser hopping, Island Central will soon be decorated for a new event: Club Penguin Island’s first ever anniversary party! We’ve had a lot of fun times at this party as a community, but are you totally prepared for when it disappears? I’ve got a quick checklist of a few things for you to do before the celebration’s over.
#1: Stock up on exclusive rainbow items
After the Rainbow Celebration ends later this week, rainbow smoothies and rainbow furniture will become rare items. Maybe they’ll return to the Island, maybe they won’t. Either way, it’s a good idea to buy as many smoothies, slides and more as you can before the Migration Shop migrates. (Some of you might have bought a ton of smoothies during the flash sale last month… smart choice!)
Another bit of advice: check your inventory after you’ve bought the items. I thought I stocked up on Fluffcake at the Holiday Party, so you can imagine my frustration when I discovered that I didn’t. And don’t buy too many furniture items either. There’s always going to be a furniture limit, so don’t end up with more items than you can add to an igloo lot!
#2: Tick “building a pixel dinosaur” off your checklist
You know you want to! I’ve seen lots of penguins use the new Color Cube furniture items to build pixel art, sculptures and more. I had a go at building a little dinosaur yesterday… how did I do? From Box Dimension portals to Valentine’s Day hearts, you can do it all with enough Color Cubes. If there’s one rainbow furniture item you have to stock up on, it would be this. Now… where can I find a Time Trekker 3000? I think I owe the dinosaurs an apology.
#3: Take as many photos with the rainbow as you can
It’s not everyday that a giant rainbow visits the Island! You can catch some incredible views of this spectacular weather event from Island Central, Mount Blizzard and Beacon Boardwalk. As soon as the 1.10 update arrives, this rainbow and the beautiful purple sky will move north to another Island, so be sure to take as many pictures of the rainbow and the party decor in Island Central before it goes.
I recommend the wolf cave on Mount Blizzard and the cloud in Beacon Boardwalk as the best rainbow photography spots. If you know any more good ones, be sure to share with the community in the comments below!
#4: Adopt a rainbow pet to collect rainbow drops with
While you’re waiting for rainbow puffles to return, there’s a piñata waiting for you at your nearest marketplace. Waddle around Island Central with your new pet and experience the magic of this colourful weather event together. Every 5 minutes, a rainbow geyser will appear allowing you and your piñata to collect rainbow drops which can be exchanged for 10 coins at The Exchange.
Collecting on the Island with a party supply pal is always more fun than collecting with other penguins, am I right? But if taking care of a pet is a bit much for you, you can return your piñata to the wild and receive your adoption fee of 50 coins back! Be sure to collect and trade-in as many rainbow drops as you can (unless you’re saving them up) because when the Rainbow Celebration is over, no more Mike Wazowski energy will remain for rainbow geysers.
#5: Submit and buy rainbow fashion in Dot’s Catalog
Our community sure knows how to make the best rainbow fashion. Throughout the Rainbow Celebration, there have been special fashion challenges with rainbow fabrics and decals, but you can also find rainbow-themed items in other catalog challenges too. Take a browse through the recent submissions, trending styles and blueprints designed by your friends to find some rainbow items to add a splash of colour to your look.
Even though the Rainbow Celebration will soon be over, you can use the special fabrics and decals you received at any time in the year – they’re for you to keep forever. They might even become rare someday too.
#6: Roleplay at the Migration Shop in Island Central
One of my favourite aspects of the Rainbow Celebration is that penguins can stand behind the Migration Shop and roleplay as a shopkeeper to other penguins looking to buy rainbow smoothies and furniture. This reminds me of parties on classic Club Penguin, where there were always opportunities to roleplay in transformed rooms.
Whether it’s offering rainbow smoothie samples, demonstrating new rainbow furniture or sharing coins for penguins to buy new items with – your roleplay at the Migration Shop brings the Island to life. But beware of tuna fish, I’ve heard rumours that they’re leaping out of the canal to steal umbrella lamps. Stay alert, have fun, and always have your Multi-tool ready.
And that’s it! The Rainbow Celebration has been a long party, but I always find myself forgetting to do the little things (especially the things which involve spending coins) before a party is over. So, I hope you found this little guide helpful. Do you have any last-minute activities to add? Have you been fully prepared or did you almost forget one of these essential activities like me? Let me know in the comments below! Thank you for reading and as always, penguins…

That is such a good pixel dinosaur!
I definitely need to go around the island and take some cool photos before the migration ends. This was so helpful!
My pixel dinosaur says “ROAR!”… which I think means thank you in dinosaur, I’ll have to ask Rookie to translate for me. I’m so happy you found the checklist helpful! Do you have any top spots for Island photography to share?
I got good shots on the top of island centrals buildings
That’s a fantastic photography spot! I remember climbing up on top of the Igloo Tram Station at the Halloween Party while I was still waiting for igloos to arrive, haha. I got some great pictures there. Waddle on!
I will try to remember to do these!
Great post as always DJ! I’ll be sure to go buy some stuff from the shops before I miss out on them! ?
It’s important to keep stocked up on rainbow furniture – especially if you all of a sudden feel like building a giant slide in your igloo during the Summer. Thank you for reading, TorqueCP! Waddle on!
