Hello, penguin knights (and princesses too)! I’ve got exciting news – a new quest for all penguins seeking adventure on the Island has popped up, and it comes in the form of a medieval maze in my igloo on Club Penguin Island. Dress up as a knight or princess, brave the depths of the maze and emerge victorious at the end.
Ye Knights’ Maze is now closed
Congratulations to everyone who finished the maze and recovered the treasure from the rogue cheese grater! The randomly selected winner of the contest is IceWizard. Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for more fun soon!
Calling all Island knights and princesses!
A long, long time ago, a rogue cheese grater stole all of Penglantis’ gems and treasure and hid it in a location no penguin could’ve ever possibly guessed. After centuries of searching, Island archaeologists have finally discovered the location of the stolen booty. The only problem? It’s behind a giant labyrinth constructed by the cheese grater. I never could’ve guessed cheese graters could build mazes.
Only the most fearless, determined and heroic penguins will be able to take on the twists and turns of the maze and recover the treasure. One lucky knight or princess will win 1,000 coins to congratulate them for their heroic deeds.
A good knight or princess expects the unexpected…
You would like to hope this is a simple maze, but I’m afraid it’s not. You see, it’s not only you who wants to recover the treasure. Aliens from the planet Upzar II would also like to get their alien hands… paws… claws… whatever they are… on the cheese grater’s stash of cash. In order to achieve this, they’ve setup a series of cannons and hovering “containment units” to stop penguins completing the maze. Those cheeky aliens.
However, not every cannon leads to a containment unit. Some cannons will help you with shortcuts through the maze, some lead to bridges to help you through the maze, others are required to even get over walls to complete the maze. You’ve got to have your wits about you and choose your cannons wisely. If you’re one of the unfortunate few to get caught – hop onto the teleporter pads inside the units to teleport back to the start of the maze.
A good knight or princess stops for a snack…
Maze wandering can sure make you hungry. Luckily, the cheese grater was nice enough to setup two snack stations to keep penguins fed and watered. See, they’re not entirely evil after all. At each station, you can expect to find a vending machine and a table with two chairs. Although, the camera angle in the maze doesn’t let you see the snack stations – who needs to see what they’re eating anyway?! If you bump into a snack station on your travels, you can be certain you’re headed in the right direction.
A good knight or princess doesn’t cheat in the maze…
I know it can be really tempting to just climb on top of the walls or use a Hydro Hydrant, but that does spoil the fun for other penguins. Please play fair in the maze, since I can’t tell if you’ve cheated or not. The rogue cheese grater built the maze to protect their treasure, and for penguins to have fun. If you’re stuck in a containment unit, go back to the start of the maze rather than try to use a Hydro Hydrant.
But I understand this isn’t easy. There’s one area of the maze where you will be confronted with three choices. All you have to do is interact with the correct choice and you’ll be on your way to completing the grater’s labyrinth. If you’re struggling, try zooming in your camera angle by going to My penguin and then My profile. It’s much better and more fun to find solutions rather than try to cheat.
A good knight or princess enters into a giveaway for their prize…
If you get to the end of the maze, congratulations! Behind the wall at the back of the prize room (access it with a mini trampoline) is a piece of gear. Comment below with the name of the piece of gear and you will be entered into a giveaway to win 1,000 coins! If you’re a non-member, go to My penguin and then My profile to zoom in your camera angle to identify the interactive gear.
Need a helping flipper?
Did you really think I’d leave you to solve this maze without a map? Of course not! If you’re stuck, try to plan a route with this map. It might even be helpful to print out the map, so you can doodle where you’ve got so far if you’re unlucky enough to get to a containment unit. I do think it’s much more fun to wander aimlessly first. If you’d rather not see a map, close your eyes and quickly scroll down… now!
Once you’ve completed the maze in my igloo, be sure to share your answer and your thoughts on the maze in the comments below! I was inspired by the Ye Knight’s Quests from classic Club Penguin Medieval Parties to create this igloo, so I’d also love to hear any favourite memories you might have from those parties too. Good luck, penguins! Until next time…
