Penguins, it’s time to celebrate World Penguin Day! Every year on April 25th, the world comes together to share the love for the amazing birds known as penguins and to also raise awareness of the threats which face them as a species across the globe. I LOVE penguins, so I thought it would be a nice idea to create a very special post to celebrate this magnificent day with the community. Test your penguin trivia, check out some pictures from my encounters with penguins in two aquariums in Canada and the UK, and learn how to act like a real world penguin on the Island!

Real World Penguins
I’ve been lucky enough to visit Vancouver Aquarium in Canada and a smaller aquarium in the United Kingdom and see African penguins and Galàpagos penguins with my very own eyes! The amazing aquariums I visited are dedicated to the conservation and protection of these magnificent birds. Check out these pictures of them from my travels.

Act Like A Penguin
Penguins in the real world have many interesting and exciting traits which you can try out for yourself on Club Penguin Island!
1. Hop from rock to rock to climb to the top of the Waterfall, just like Rockhopper penguins!
2. Burrow beside the sea underneath a crevice in the Cove, like Little Blue penguins!
3. Waddle along the icebergs in the Boardwalk for many, many, MANY kilometres, just like Emperor penguins when they’re walking “50-120km over the ice to the place where they have their babies”.
4. Eat a fishdog! Fish are a common staple of the diets of ALL penguins! Although they might be missing out on a bun and salad like fishdogs from the Foodtrekker.
5. Make donkey-like noises to communicate, like African penguins! Who knows, you might just find yourself a friend who knows how to speak the language of African penguins, just like you.
Thank you for reading my special World Penguin Day post. If you enjoyed it, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to hear what score you got in the penguin trivia quiz and whether you tried out acting like a penguin for yourself on the Island. Until next time…
