Hello penguins! Thank you for joining me in this week’s Reviewed By You here on The Islanders. This time, we’re discussing the all-new upgrades to an Island favourite mini-game, Tube Racing! Last time, I asked you about your thoughts on what’s inside the buildings of Island Central. Since then, one of the buildings – DJ Cadence’s recording studio – has opened to the penguin public and we’ve discovered what’s inside. Some of your predictions even came true (mind… BLOWN!), meanwhile the answers to some still remain a mystery.
I really liked Storcko‘s thoughts on the future for DJ Cadence’s Studio and the other two indoor rooms which aren’t quite ready for penguins to explore yet.
I expect only one building being released in 1.10, and that’s a record store, like what you think. I don’t think there will be much at first, aside from it being a place for DJ Cadence to hangout. But later on, I think it’ll be a place to buy records for our igloos!
Then the second little building might not have an inside at all. I honestly think that later on, it’ll be a catalog to buy special clothing items! And as for the large building, I think that it will be a town hall or police station of some sort. It’ll just be a fun place to roleplay, but there’s a hidden entrance to a secret HQ somewhere…
Thank you for sharing your ideas, Storcko! I’d love to see more to DJ Cadence’s Studio, and bringing an igloo music store there would be the perfect addition. Ready, set… TUBE RACE! ?
Penguins from across the Island are rushing over to Mount Blizzard to try out the Gary’s new improvements to tube races for EVERYONE! The platform lowers, the tubes are ready, and everyone zooms off at once. After that, it’s a fast ride down the mountain as you avoid anvils and collect green checkered targets to earn points. The new races incorporate suggestions from the Club Penguin Island community – such as multiplayer races, a leaderboard and coin prizes.
For this week’s Reviewed By You, I’d like to know – what are your thoughts on the new Tube Racing? Whether you’re tubing non-stop like me or you’ve still got to work on your technique, I would love to hear about what you like about the new races and even how you would improve them. Would you add new obstacles like logs and rocks? Or maybe you would like ice patches to boost your penguin into the lead? Perhaps you would like power-ups for members like in the Sled Racer app?

The addition of tube racing is great, yet another multiplayer mini game to spend time with friends. I don’t have many suggestions other than fixing some bugs. Making everyone bounce off each other further increases competitive fun and increases the longetivity of the game while being more engaged and requiring more thought and strategy.

Hey Dj! Really good post. I have mixed emotions about the new tube racing. I love how non members are now able to join in the fun of tube racing, we can get points and we now start off at the exact same time! Though, in January I finally got platinum. Ever since then I was able to get it. Now platinum for all I know has been removed… I also really do miss coming first for being the fastest instead of getting most points. Over all I would give the new tube racing 5/10.

The mechanics of this new version is amazing with the race again teleport feature but that’s only the tip of the ice berg!!! Through some difficult trials I have come across a camera angle that is well quite extraordinary! And that’s the true beauty of this updated game!
I love it but the downside is that on the third DJ cadence adventure you need to tube and it is really annoying when other people join as they get in the way.
The new tube racing is much better than the one before in my opinion. In fact it might rival the original sled racing minigame in quality. I hope we see more upgrades like this to other island activities as well, such as the race in the sea caves. I also hope we get another sled racing track somehow. Maybe we could make it up to the top of the mountain and sled down it for some high-speed, action-filled fun! That’s mostly just wishful thinking, but you never know.

I like it, but I wish it was only 30 seconds between rounds.
I love the new tube racing! I mean first of all I- and fellow non-members- can play, but it also means it’s way more competitive and fun. I feel like some extra additions like power ups and even Mario Kart style items would make it more interesting. Maybe a new track somehow? I know that the obstacles change a bit each time, but perhaps there could be shortcuts that open, or a change in scenery sometimes? I think that a combination of classic racing games, sled racing from CP, and the Sled Racing App would be cool.
As a penguin who loves exploring, having secret shortcuts open up on Tube Racing tracks would be incredibly exciting, Duck072Videos! Thank you for your comment!
