Thank you so much to everyone who waddled along to this party! Best community ever. ?❤️??

We might’ve not made a flag, but we did show how united and amazing our community is. To learn more about Club Penguin in Portuguese and what the meetup was all about, read more below.
Penguin family, we need your help! Yesterday, my friend Cookiezitto reached out to me to let me know that Club Penguin in Portuguese will be celebrating its 9th anniversary soon. To celebrate, Cookiezitto, Bryan Gelino and Mimimari would like to form a Brazilian flag on Club Penguin Island to encourage the Club Penguin Island team to throw a 10th anniversary party for the Portuguese language.
A brief history on Club Penguin in Portuguese
Written by Cookiezitto (translated from Portuguese by Google Translate)
Do you know what “waddle on” means? “Waddle on” is to live many adventures, together with our penguin friends, to live moments that we will never forget and to be a community, all of this while playing Club Penguin and now Club Penguin Island.
In 2007 and 2008, our beloved Club Penguin was becoming more famous, and with that, players from languages other than English arrived, and of course, one of those languages was Portuguese. So some penguins had the idea of doing something unique, which was perhaps even the most important movement for our island. They joined together in the Mine, formed the Brazilian flag and said ”We want a Brazilian server on Club Penguin”.
After this amazing display of community teamwork by the Brazilian community, Club Penguin finally opened servers for their language on October 14th, 2008. Over the next few years, we’d see Club Penguin grow to French and Spanish which still exist today, and then German and Russian, which were sadly discontinued in 2015. The 9th anniversary is an important milestone for the Portuguese community. If it wasn’t for their teamwork all those years ago, who knows how long it might’ve taken for Club Penguin to reach more languages.
To celebrate, join Cookiezitto, Bryan Gelino, Mimimari and the Portuguese community to help create a Brazilian flag on Club Penguin Island.
