Hear ye, hear ye! Just kidding… hey, penguin pals! The Rainbow Celebration arrives in the next Club Penguin Island update later this week. With rainbow items, catalog challenges, collectibles and more – this party is certain to turn the community colourful! A party like this doesn’t come together overnight. In fact, did you know a knight made it all happen?
I took a read of the Island Codex again the other night (it’s a good read!) and found a forgotten tale of a colourful kingdom buried deep within the Codex. Many centuries ago, the Island was ruled by a king who loved colour. Everything about his life, from his food to his duvet cover, was colourful. The king wanted to spread his love for colour to the Island kingdom with a celebration, and so called upon his finest knight to go on an epic quest to prepare the festivities.
A kingdom of rainbow colours…
The King: You there! The colourful knight! No, not you. The other knight!
The Knight: Yes, your majesty? How may I be of service?
The King: I have a plan. It’s a great plan. I’m throwing a “party” to celebrate colour!
The Knight: And how do you plan on achieving that, sir?
The King: By getting you to prepare it all for me while I eat more rainbow pizza! Haha!
The Knight: Oh
The King: Listen closely, you must follow my instructions perfectly. We must have a rainbow in the sky, colour everywhere, unicorn tubes and rainbow geysers – I want to touch the rainbow. Got it?
The Knight: Uh yes. I think…
It’s time to rainbow-ify the sky
Skies on the Island are usually sunny, blue and slightly cloudy – at least, that’s what happens when ghosts haven’t taken over the island. How could the Rainbow Knight possibly transform into the sky into a rainbow of bright and beautiful colours? To figure out the answer to this question, the Knight equipped their Firebreather tube and flew up, up and away into the sky. From just over the horizon, the knight spotted something quite unbelievable… a Rainbow Migration!
A Rainbow Migration‘s arrival can be characterised easily through an increased amount of sparkles flying through the sky. While this was previously assumed to be the Blacksmith Force trying out welding at the top of Mount Blizzard, Island inhabitants had been noticing sparkles for quite some time, so it only makes sense that the migration was on its way to the Island.
Everything must be colourful… no exceptions!
The king demanded colourful decorations everywhere in the kingdom. The Rainbow Knight searched all over the kingdom for the one resource which could provide every colour necessary for this celebration: a rainbow pineapple. And these pineapples are quite difficult to find, since only one appears on the Island every 72,000 years! After days of searching, the knight managed to find one of these rare fruits on top of the Choklidium hopper. Wait a minute… on top of the Choklidium hopper?!
Pineapple: HELP! HELP! I’M GOING TO TURNED INTO RAINBOW COCOA!
The Knight: At last! A rainbow pineapple! You don’t know how difficult it was to fin-… wait, RAINBOW COCOA!?
Pineapple: Yes! Help me, help me, help me! Talking multi-coloured pineapples don’t appear everyday, y’know!
The Knight: Uhh… here goes nothing, I guess…
The Rainbow Knight took a giant heroic leap off the roof of the Snowmelt Shop, onto the Choklidium hopper and crash-landed onto the beanbag and found that the pineapple was now… rainbow paint! This was perfect for decorating Ye Olde Island Central with everything – from clouds with multi-coloured stars to bright bunting. The knight also discovered that the “paint” also tasted great, so a market was set up selling rainbow smoothies! Who needs a recycling plant when we can sell paint as smoothies?
A power source for rainbow geysers
The King demanded the ability to touch the rainbow in the sky. With the Rainbow Migration comes the chance for rainbow geysers to appear at random across the Island! Sounds dangerous, right? It takes HUGE amounts of energy to increase the chance of these high-pressure colourful fountains to erupt from the ground. However, it didn’t take long for the knight to find the perfect power source to make the King’s dreams a reality.
Mike Wazowski: BRING FREE TRIALS BACK!
The Knight: FREE TRIALS WERE ALWAYS ENABLED. CLEAR YOUR CACHE.
Mike Wazowski: STOP LYING TO ASHLEE! [steam can be seen evaporating from the Mike’s eye]
The Knight: [grabs scream canister] WHAT DID YOU SAY?!
Mike Wazowski: BRING FREE TRIALS BACK! STOP LYING TO ASHLEE! STOP! FREE! ASHLEEEEE!!! [session lost]
The Knight: [carrying full scream canister] Perfect.
Wait… how do we make unicorn tubes?
With almost all components for this colourful celebration ready, only one remained: unicorn tubes. Out of all preparations for the King’s huge party, this was certainly the most challenging. Deep in the wilds of Mount Blizzard was a magical unicorn, singing Awesome To Be Rare like all good unicorns do. The Rainbow Knight led a trail of crystal O-Berries, a unicorn’s favourite food, all the way to the Tube Smithy, where they were prepared with a Multitool from Gary’s Lab.
Unicorn: [mouth stuffed with O-Berries] Mmm… crystal O-Berries…
The Knight: Stand still. Don’t move, please.
Unicorn: Ahhh! What are you doing?!
The Knight: Oh, I should explain. This Multitool will take a scan of your unicorn magical-ness and transform it into a tube.
Unicorn: What’s in it for me?!
The Knight: A free unicorn tube.
Unicorn: Deal.
As soon as the scan was taken, unicorn tubes started to spring out of the Tube Smithy’s anvil uncontrollably, and soon all of Mount Blizzard was flooded with them! It was decided that a unicorn tube was to be given to every penguin, and unicorn, in the kingdom as a gift for attending the celebration.
The Rainbow Celebration starts soon!
The rest of the tale has sadly been entirely forgotten, since the rest of it is written in some sort of code with lines, noughts and crosses – although I’m certain the King’s celebration of colour was a success. With another Rainbow Migration on its way to the Island soon, Dot will be using what the Rainbow Knight learned from his quest to prepare this very special event.
Thanks for reading this story, penguin pals! What will you do to celebrate the Rainbow Migration? I’ll be creating a colourful outfit and decorating my igloo with all of the new rainbow-themed furniture! Share your party-prep plans with the community in the comments below. Have fun at the Rainbow Celebration, everyone! And as always…
Huge thanks to PlatypenguinCP (Platyplayer) for helping me with the pictures for this story! :D

Awesome Post DJ!
Interesting
Incredible story! Congrats Dj! I liked so much, like other stories that you create. My favourite moment is the mike’s conversation.
Waddle on!
Thanks, Azu51! Who could’ve guessed that angry penguins in Mike Wazowski costumes could power rainbow geysers? ;)
I really liked this post. The humour was great in it. I wonder how we can bring back the magical pineapple. It was great to see that you made fun of the Mikes!
Thank you, Agent blue0! I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the post. :) Maybe magical Rainbow Pineapples appear in other places in the world before they reach the Island again – we will have to investigate this further!
Who was that other penguin in the pictures? They seem pretty cool ;) But seriously I had a blast doing these, the story turned out great! The Mike part was hilarious XD
Hahaha! Thank you so much, Platypenguin! I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the story. :) Waddle on!
