Have you ever wondered where the Foodtrekker came from? Or perhaps you were indulging on a Fishdog and became curious about who created such a marvellous penguin tastebud treat? I’ve been reading some old tales in the Island Codex and found this one considerably interesting.

Many months ago, before millions of penguins came to inhabit Club Penguin Island, lived a penguin with a passion for food and travel, suitably named Mr. Foodtrekker. Mr. Foodtrekker loved all sorts of food, including bamboo from his days of living in the wilds of China with giant pandas.

One day, Mr. Foodtrekker became very hungry for a simple slice of pizza but, much to his dismay, the Welcome Shop had all sold out and only had plain bread rolls left to eat (boring!), the SS Convenience couldn’t find a single slice of pizza in amongst their hoards of Squid Sticks and soggy pizza from the Deep Sea Shop just wasn’t his cup of hot cocoa.

This outrageous food shortage on Club Penguin Island led to Mr. Foodtrekker having an innovative idea which would transform the Island as he knew it forever. Mr. Foodtrekker decided that he would open his own restaurant named after him… but not just any old restaurant. This restaurant would have to be able to travel the globe on land and water, and would serve culinary creations of his own invention.

Unfortunately, there were no suitable vehicles for Mr. Foodtrekker’s ambitious plan for sale on pengBay, therefore he paid a visit to a pirate pal we can all rely on (from time to time at least), Captain Rockhopper! Rockhopper has sailed the seven and a half seas for many years and has seen ships sink, float and even do a barrel roll – Mr. Foodtrekker was certain he would be able to help.

Rockhopper: Avast, me heartie! Welcome aboard me Migrator, that’ll be a 50 coin entry fee please.

Mr. Foodtrekker: No wonder why you’re the richest penguin on the Island! *pirate accent* I be needin’ ye help with finding long lost booty. Ye see, I be wanting to open a restaurant which can move around on land and ye seas, but ye pengBay be no use.

Rockhopper: I’ve been keeping an eye out for pirates setting sail to our Island and I saw one crash and sink just outside the Sea Caves! Want to know more? 25 coins please, me heartie!

Mr. Foodtrekker: Alright, alright, here you go. I heard some penguins talk about a sunken ship a few minutes ago…

Rockhopper: That be because I told them too! I heard they were carrying treasured artefacts from an old abandoned island not too far away from here. Apparently, all the penguins moved from there to here nearly 4 weeks ago!

Mr. Foodtrekker: Sounds interesting. Do you think there’ll be any old arte-thingies which could help me and my restaurant?

Rockhopper: Of course, me heartie! Gary ye Gadget Guy once had an old Snowtrekker. Yarr harr, penguins used to love that old yellow trekker.

Suddenly, Mr. Foodtrekker had a eureka moment!

“The Snowtrekker could become my Foodtrekker!”

Rockhopper: Then ye best be quick! Lots of penguins have been diving around for treasure, it doesn’t wait around for you, har har!

Mr. Foodtrekker: Thanks, Rockhopper! How can I ever repay you for your help?

Rockhopper: I wouldn’t mind a Party Blaster… XL.

Mr. Foodtrekker: I should’ve guessed…

Without a moment to lose, Mr. Foodtrekker hopped on his tube and, eventually, made it to the Sea Caves where he discovered a gigantic ship embedded within the wall. Was this what carried 11 years of artefacts before it catastrophically sank? Mr. Foodtrekker had questions, and word on the Boardwalk was that a wise squid had all the answers…

Will Mr. Foodtrekker find his Snowtrekker? Or will another penguin have beaten him to it?
