Hi penguin family! Today we’re taking a trip in the Time Trekker 3000 back to the past, and I mean way back to the past. In January 2013, 2014 and 2016, penguins visited Club Penguin from millions of years ago during the Prehistoric Party! Here’s some history for why we travelled back to the age of stone, dinosaurs and square pizza.
We first travelled to the past to study dinosaurs with Gary in 2013. Members were able to transform into dinosaurs when they collected dinosaur eggs in the Dino Dig mini-game. Then, in 2014, Garugg the Ugg Ugg needed our help to save the Dino Puffles! Members could hatch and adopt their eggs at the Volcano. Finally, to help power the alien puffles’ UFO, in 2016 we returned to prehistoric CP to collect power fragments from meteors millions of years ago. Cool, right?
I loved time-travelling on Club Penguin and discovering the Island from millions of years ago (and even thousands of years into the future). To celebrate, I bought a bunch of furniture to create a prehistoric-themed igloo party! Missed the party on classic? Or if you were there, want to see if you can remember the good times? You’re in the right place! Here’s a tour of my Prehistoric Party igloo. :)
Make a splash at the BIG Water Place!
It’s a place with lots of water. Simple, right? At the Big Water Place, there was a prehistoric throne and a few living spaces, along with a lava flow from the volcano. I tried to recreate the stone tower in my igloo, but with a trampoline instead of steps. I’ve included volcanoes in the water and added flat stones to the sand. Architecture back in the very early days of Club Penguin was very impressive.
Rocky’s Prehistoric Pizza Parlor
No matter the year, penguins (and dinosaurs!) love pizza. In the Fancy Plaza, time-travellers could visit Rocky’s Pizza for a slice of square pizza fresh from the lava oven. Seating was provided in the form of logs, and penguins could even help create pizza for themselves in the interactive kitchen area. Oh, and don’t forget to jam out on stage… I’ve heard caveguins enjoy rock music. ;) I’ve tried to re-create as much of this area as possible in my igloo, and I think I’ve done pretty well – it’s by far my favourite part of the igloo. Mmm… pizza…
River crossing to the Hunting Spot
I’m not too sure what caveguins were trying to hunt for in the Hunting Spot, but I took a wild guess and decided on rocks. Test your balance with a slow but steady waddle across the mossy log, and then grab a jackhammer and mine for crystals and other rock-y treasures. Other than construction and birthday presents, I wonder what else prehistoric penguins used rocks for. A game of rockball (a bit like soccer, but with rocks)? Hmm… I can’t imagine that ending well.
Hatch your Dino Puffles at the Volcano!
The last destination on our Prehistoric Party tour is the Volcano. It was here that penguins hatched their Dino Puffle eggs from Dino Dig. After crossing a challenging (to what I remember, at least) sinking stones puzzle, members could waddle on over to three volcanic hotspots inside the volcano to heat and hatch their new Dino Puffle’s egg. I promise, it definitely worked. The Dino Puffles were the first of MANY new Puffle Creatures welcomed to the Island in 2014.
To recreate the puzzle in my igloo, I created a tricky parkour course to climb up to the GIANT volcano’s summit. It proved to be fairly challenging at Together Thursday, so there’s a cannon at the back for the penguins who aren’t too great at leaping from stone to stone. Other than the cannon, it’s pretty historically accurate.
Did you time-travel with Gary?
I love sharing my experiences of classic Club Penguin with other penguins since it always starts a conversation where we all share our unique memories which made our experience incredible. Were you on the classic Island for a Prehistoric Party? How do you think I did with my Prehistoric Party igloo? If you could configure the Time Trekker 3000, which year would you visit? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you so much for reading, everyone! Until next time, friends… OOGA BOOGA!

Amazing post like usual Dj! I love what you done to your iggy to make it similar to the Prehistoric party, it reminded me of how hyped I was for the prehistoric party. Also your penguins costume is so cool!
Thank you, Agent blue0! It’s so cool to hear that you’re a fellow fan of the Prehistoric Party. I’m glad you like my penguin’s Prehistoric outfit – do you have any stone age style for your penguin too? Waddle on!
